Terms of Service

Not a Medical Device

Tap4Med provides a platform for users to store and share medical information. We do not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Our service is intended to facilitate information sharing with emergency responders but is not a guarantee of medical outcome.

User Responsibility

Since the user or facility enters the data, they must own the responsibility for its accuracy.

  • The Rule: The user is responsible for ensuring that medications, allergies, and DNR status are kept up to date.
  • The Limit: Tap4Med is not liable for any injuries, deaths, or medical complications resulting from inaccurate or outdated information provided by the user or facility.

Proper Use of the NFC/QR Technology

Condition: Users must understand that for the service to work, the card must be physically present and the “tap” or “scan” function must be used.

The Limit: You aren’t responsible if a first responder chooses not to look for the card or if their specific device has NFC disabled.

Organizational Users

Admin Authority: State that the facility admin has the authority to manage resident data.

Compliance: The facility must agree to follow HIPAA or local privacy laws when inputting resident data.

Termination of Service

Abuse: You reserve the right to ban users who use the service for illegal or fraudulent purposes.
